Child Safety Gates

or Baby Gates are designed to be used with babies and small children. They have been constructed so that a small child could not easily push the gate over or go over the top of it. Many feature a walk-through doorway with a child proof latching system (easily opened by adults).

Each of these safety gates has been certified by the Juvenile Products Manufacturer's Association (JPMA) for use with small children. In order for a product to obtain a JPMA certification it must pass a rigorous series of tests to ensure that it is completely safe when used with juveniles. Aside from the initial testing, the JPMA also monitors the manufacturing of these products on an annual basis to ensure that they continue to meet the standards and guidelines that have been set.

Special Note: There are many gates offered online and through retail stores. As a parent, selecting a proper gate for young children can be confusing. To help guide you, always look for the JPMA Certified Seal on the packaging. You can be assured that the product bearing this seal will be constructed to industry standards that are acceptable for use with your child.
